Updated: Mar 22, 2022

Overview:

The world is moving toward the digital transformation. I will pursue UAS with an open mind toward change and new technology. New technology will be critical toward UAS in the future. IoT is playing a big role in applications in the drone field. New careers are being made every month in the UAS field due to new types of technology to enhance how we use drones.

a. Weather Conditions:

Clear skies, low winds

b. Platforms present and flown:

DJI Mavic 2 Pro, using Measure software to operate the drone.

c. Safety Assessment:

Several other drones operating on the area. Potential tree hazards. Humans on the ground not part of the operation. We have a visual observer to maintain safe operations.

d. Description of events:

Met at Purdue Wildlife Area and received the deliverables. Flew a drone mission taking pictures of the ground at different heights and angles. Worked in group of two to accomplish mission.

e. Deliverables:

Fly at 10m increments

Lense at nadir

Take picture at 10m, 20m, 30m….. 120m, and 125m

Take picture at 0 degrees at the horizon

Take pictures at 30, 60, and 90 degrees
